Tommy Spurr admits Tom Cairney is really a ‘big loss’ to Blackburn Rovers.
But, in front of Rovers’ reunion because of their former midfield playmaker tomorrow, Spurr insists they've already moved on.
Sunday’s holiday to Craven Cottage could be the first time Gary Bowyer’s side have fallen up against Cairney since his shock summer change to Fulham.
And left-back Spurr said: “We can’t deny he’s been a large loss.
“He’s an experienced lad and hubby was our best players inside the two years he was here.

“But you’ve have got to move on and that we have shifted.
“We’re playing differently now with two out-and-out wide men.
“We will wish him enjoy on Sunday, but there won’t be any friendship on the pitch.”
Cairney won the participant of the year and goal of year prizes within his two seasons at Rovers before he was sold to Fulham in June for their fee in excess of £3m.
The 24-year-old has created a flying will his Cottagers career with stunning goals against Brighton & Hove Albion with the exceptional old club Hull City.
Cairney may be operating about the right-hand side of midfield for Fulham equally he did for almost all of his time with Rovers. That means there may be every chance he will be in direct competition with Spurr on Sunday.
“If he plays around the right he could get a few about the back of his leg!” joked Spurr.
“Or I might ruffle his hair – that’d put him off more!”
Former boss Gary Bowyer claims that aside from Cairney's skills, shirt sales among female Rovers' fans have nosedived.
"We have missed him and that we’ll always miss him on account of who he was and what he was approximately here.
"When we first took over he was the sort of model of player we needed to bring in to the club.
"Off the pitch he was fantastic, too, he couldn’t do enough for those. He was always very accommodating and, given his female supporters, I think he probably had the very best shirts sales we’ve had!
"But obviously the bid entered and it was accepted. We didn’t need to lose the ball player and now he’s playing against us.
